This is a recently renovated room which takes its name from the surrounding area. The monks’ cells of the Palio Monastiri tou Taxiarchi (the Old Monastery of the Archangel) were built here. It is thought that the monastery was built in 1412 AD, and that it is the oldest part of Mesta village. So, anyone staying in this room, with its history dating back to the Middle Ages, is bound to enjoy its historical atmosphere, countryside air and rustic furnishings. Stone dominates the décor, with arches and stone recesses in the walls which add the glamour of a bygone era, while the earthy tones, luxurious fabrics on the furniture and the Italian flooring give the room a more modern atmosphere. The room has a double bed and three-seater traditional sofa.
